Forest Therapy + Tea Ceremony
Event description
Forest therapy stems from the practice of shinrin-yoku, which originated in Japan in the 1980s. The term translates to “taking in the forest atmosphere” and this guided, sensory experience will help you do just that.
You'll be guided through a mindful, forest meditation and a series of sensory exercises on this walk around Wurundjeri Country. Our internationally-certified guide, Jennah Rose, will lead us through various exercises, as a group and as individuals, which are designed to awaken your senses and strengthen your connection with the world around you. This walk is not about physical exertion, but rather slowly engaging with the natural environment.
The forest therapy walk will be followed by a tea ceremony, where participants will come together as a collective to share their experiences and observations over tea brewed from Australian natives and bush botanicals.
