Forest Therapy at Mountain Creek 14 Sep 24

Event description

Experience relational forest bathing in the bush, also known as nature and forest therapy, in this small group guided session through the open woodlands and alongside one of the tributaries of the Mooloolah River at Mountain Creek on Kabi Kabi country, Sunshine Coast.

Forest therapy follows a sequence of activities that awaken our senses and help us develop our relationship with nature, the more-than-human world. It is a simple and down-to-Earth practice that improves our wellbeing, strengthens connection to self, nature and other humans and acknowledges and reveres country.

For more information, including answers to questions such as "What happens on a nature therapy walk?", "Is there scientific proof that it's good for us?" and "What should I wear?!" visit the Held Outside website.

Meeting details and other important information will be shared with registered attendees via email before the event date. Preparation for the experience requires my knowing how many participants are joining in advance, and having your contact details in case of an event cancellation or change due to weather. If you can not book online, please contact Jay at heldoutside@gmail.com or 0476 212 616 to reserve a place.

We start along the Mountain Creek Recreational Trail is a five minute walk (on the flat) from the bus stop of the 614 Maroochydore - Kawana Shopping World route (Glenfields Bvd at Sailfish Drive).

Sunshine Coast Regional Council permit: CUL210040
