40 Fortyssimo: A Celebration of Jewish Music

Celebrate 40 years of the Sydney Jewish Choral Society with a special Council House Concert at National Council of Jewish Women Australia NSW.

Enjoy a spectacular afternoon with Sydney’s premier Jewish community choir and friends, featuring music ranging from Hebrew liturgical works to pop and modern standards and celebrating the extraordinary breadth of Jewish music.

A highlight of the concert will be the world premiere of Yesh Kochavim by internationally renowned Jewish Australian composer Elena Kats Chernin AO. Specially commissioned for the Choir’s 40th anniversary, this new work is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Bondi terrorist attack.

Featuring guest artists Sarit Michael, Larissa Kovalchuk, Leo Novikov, Len Mahemoff OAM, Brendan Gill.
