Fostering Circular Thinking in Schools: Bass Coast Teacher Networking Event
Event description
Join educators from across the Bass Coast region and Gippsland for a hands-on and inspiring morning focused on circular economy education in schools.
The event will begin at the Cowes Recycling Bank, where participants will explore how materials are sorted and processed for recycling. Learn about the importance of resource recovery, how the site supports landfill diversion, and the real-world systems that demonstrate circular economy principles in action.
Following the site visit, the group will then travel to Berninneit for engaging presentations from Compass Education, Bass Coast Shire Council, Western Port Biosphere and ResourceSmart Schools. These sessions will highlight programs, case studies, and tools that schools can use to integrate circular thinking into teaching and operations.
