Hope and Action Sustainability Education for Schools
Event description
Join us alongside City of Greater Bendigo for an inspiring excursion experience, connecting schools and local sustainability education providers.
Schools, teachers and students in grades 3 and 4 from schools in and around Bendigo are invited to join us for a day of sustainability education, focused around ‘Hope and Action’.
Our aim for the day is to discuss some of the difficult aspects of climate change and equip students with tangible knowledge and actions so that they may feel hopeful for the future and inspired to act.
Experiences include A Welcome to Country, Environmental Theatre and hands on activities from ResourceSmart Schools, City of Greater Bendigo’s Active Transport Team, Resource Recovery Team and Climate Action Team, North Central Catchment Management Authority and River Detectives, Bendigo Food Share, Oz Harvest FEAST program, the Conservation Regulator, Bendigo Share and Repair Shed and Coliban Water- with more to be confirmed!
This is an in-person event, held at the Garden for the Future- White Hills. Numbers are capped for this event- so if you’d like to participate- book today!
