Safeguarding for NDIS Organisational Safeguarding Leads and Champions - Gold Coast

People with disability can be more vulnerable to violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

However, NDIS providers can take measures to protect them. This is known as ‘safeguarding’.

This free training will be held over two days. It is designed to help NDIS safeguarding leads and champions to:

•      Delve deeper into safeguarding concepts using case studies

•      Explore ways to develop organisational culture of safeguarding.

The session will apply the Building Blocks of Safeguarding Culture to provide an easy way to approach safeguarding in the NDIS.

This session is part of a larger project ‘Compliance and Beyond – Safeguarding people with disability for NDIS workers and providers’ which is funded by the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Grants Program, and delivered by Micah Projects in partnership with BBSafe.
