FREE STEM Holiday Workshops for Young People
Event description
Led by a team of facilitators, young people are invited to Science Gallery Melbourne these school holidays to experience a hands-on STEM workshop.
Join us to make creative tactile circuits using basic block coding and the most unlikely materials! Your challenge will be to use Makey Makey kits and Scratch to design an accessible technology to make life more simple, exciting or fun for someone!
Two sessions available:
Wed 1 Oct, 10am–12pm
Thu 2 Oct, 1–3pm
Please note the following:
All participants, including siblings, must be aged 13-17 years old.
Children must be dropped off in-person by their parent or caregiver on the day and they will be asked to sign a consent form allowing their child’s participation. Once the workshop has begun, parents and caregivers are not required to stay in the workshop but are asked to remain in the vicinity of Science Gallery.
The closest parking is Ace Parking in Cardigan Street, Carlton.
The closest Tram is Stop 1 on Swanston Street.
