Froggy Fun by the Birrarung

Have you ever heard mysterious sounds near the water at night and assumed they were crickets? There's a good chance they were frogs!

Join us by the Birrarung for a fun, interactive session exploring the amazing frogs that share our local waterways and wetlands.

You'll learn about the fascinating lives of local frog species, discover why their calls are so important, and even learn how to identify different frogs by the unique sounds they make.

Perfect for curious minds of all ages, the event also includes hands-on craft activities and practical tips on how you can help protect frog habitats in your own community.

If you're inspired, you can even become a citizen scientist, helping collect valuable information about local frog populations and where they're living.

Come along for a fun-filled session of learning, creativity and discovery and leave with a new appreciation for these remarkable little amphibians.

• Most Riverfest events are free, and many have limited places with long waitlists. Please only book if you're confident you can attend, so others don't miss out. Bookings are limited to 2 tickets for smaller events and 4 tickets for larger events.

Accessible parking and toilets are available on site. Please note there is a moderate walk from the car park to the event location. The event takes place outdoors and includes a spoken presentation and interactive, hands-on activities. Seating can be provided on request—please contact the event host before attending.
