Join us at TBH Studio to kick off Ballarat Frolic Festival's Summer Frolic. You’ll be treated to artworks crafted by local creatives as well as snacks, beverages, and speeches to welcome you.

Make sure to vote in the People's Choice award, the winner of the cash prize will be announced on the night.

Ballarat's queer creatives have been hard at work developing empowering expressions of queer experience, and they'll be all ready for your viewing pleasure at TBH Studio. Kick off Summer Frolic among other art lovers, while enjoying snacks, drinks, and a few speeches.

Ballarat Frolic Festival is Ballarat’s PRIDE Festival. We are a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organisation that runs twice-yearly, inclusive PRIDE festivals promoting and supporting regional LGBTIQA+ artists, art, culture, and community.

Since 2017 we’ve been running an annual festival Ballarat Frolic Festival and the occasional event during the year. From 2023 we are moving to twice yearly with our light summer and dark winter festivals. Two different vibes, but both celebrating PRIDE and our communities.

We envisage creating an inclusive Ballarat where LGBTIQA+ people feel visible, connected, and proud; the broader community is welcoming; and our contributions to art, culture and community are valued and celebrated. Feedback from community is that our festival is a unique, welcoming celebration of community and connection that you don’t typically see at LGBTIQA+ festivals. You may come with friends, or you may come alone - but either way you are welcomed and made to feel connected at Ballarat Frolic Festival.
