Textile Jewellery Workshop. From Fabric & Threads to Statement Earrings

Turn fabric and thread scraps into a one-of-a-kind pair of wearable-art earrings.

In this two-hour workshop, you'll learn how to transform small offcuts left over from larger projects into a bold, colourful pair of earrings by machine-stitching onto water-soluble fabric.

It's a chance to slow down, work with your hands, and discover a creative process that gives unwanted textiles a new lease of life.

Most materials, including silver hook earrings, are provided; however, you're encouraged to bring your own fabric scraps, along with any single earrings or buttons you'd like to incorporate, to give your earrings a personal story.

Before booking, please be aware that you must bring the following:

1.     Your own sewing machine. You should be comfortable threading, stitching and troubleshooting your own machine.

2.     Hair dryer to quickly dry your water-soluble fabric once it's had its bath.

3.     Only if you have one, a 15cm embroidery hoop.  This is no essential as you will be able to stitch without one.

4.     Scissors, sewing needles, and cotton thread.

5.     If you have a power board, bring it along.
