From Ocean to Beach with SJ Blake
Event description
Join marine advocate and experimental artist Sarah-Jane Blake for an immersive tour of Enclosure Bay. The morning begins at the picnic bench site, at the head of the bay, where we will join for a meet and greet and a short kōrero/talk at 10.00am over a hot drink (supplied). SJ will then lead a walk around the bay where we will explore the intertidal zone, stopping to observe small and large details of the landscape. Experimenting with different forms of mark making, through various sensory-led propositions, participants will connect to this changing landscape and have a small archive of site to take home with them on paper.
Following the walk and draw we will have a short chat back at the starting point. Feel free to bring a packed lunch to have after the event.
