    Duncan Welgemoed Duncan Welgemoed is considered one of Australia’s best (adopted) cooking talents. Over the years, he's become Adelaide's official spirit animal – mythical beast, troublemaker, and conversation starter. His restaurant, Africola, opened in 2014, tells a story close to his heart. Africola has since been awarded 4.5/5 Australian restaurant and chef awards from The Advertiser, Gourmet Traveller, Australian Financial Review, Good Food Guide, and Australian Good Food Guide.
    Featured in countless magazines, newspapers, and TV shows worldwide and is frequented by rockstars and celebrities alike.
    Duncan’s book “Africola, Slow Food, Fast Words, Cult Chef”
    became an instant bestseller, and his second book “Cooking with Fire,” out for release mid-2024, is set to do the same.
