Resident DJ Connie Kway-Lewd (All Vinyl Rare Disco)
Connie Kway-Lewd is the alter ego of Leo Meere, a Chicago-based DJ focusing on Classic Disco and her many children. From an adolescent obsession with 60s R&B and Motown, he fell in love with Disco and hi-NRG when he stumbled upon a reunion party for SF’s legendary Trocadero Transfer in 2005. After hoarding records for the decade or so he spent living in DC and Pittsburgh, Leo relocated to Chicago in 2017 and made the transition from a 25 year career as a church organist to DJing in 2023. He got his start spinning sleazy records in the sweaty backroom of Cell Block in Northalsted before launching the Queer vinyl-focused dance party FunkStick. Currently held monthly at Jackhammer, FunkStick strives to use the inherent joy and exhilaration of Disco as a vehicle for community building and celebrated its second anniversary in April 2026.
Jackersize
Jackersize is a Chicago Dj duo focused on funk, soul, heartbreak, and hedonism. Their all-vinyl sets mix of the beauty of classic New York City disco and the frantic alchemy of early Chicago house. Catch their “Rare Cuts” night at The Whistler Chicago or the “Red Hot Records” weekly playlist on Spotify.
Dirty Chancleta
Dirty Chancleta is a Chicago based DJ from the early 80s, playing disco, deep house, soul, funk, etc. Heavily influenced by Larry Levan/Paradise Garage, Ron Hardy/MusikBox, Michael Ezebukwu/LaRays & more. You can catch him doing guest spots around the city.
Runnersfour
Newish to Chicago by way of Washington, DC, Runnersfour appreciates any music which touches your soul and leaves you with no choice but to dance. He’s a lover of disco/post-disco, soul, jazz, funk, house, and everything in between.
Guest Artist Kendrick Quinn
Kendrick is a non-binary artist based out of Humboldt Park who works in mixed-media making collages, assemblage, and accessories.
Guest Artist Tboy Binders
Tboy Binders is a collective of trans artists making LGBTQ+ zines, stickers, prints, and more. Run by Fox Graham & Fscare.
