Further skills in metalsmithing workshops
Event description
These workshops build on the skills learnt in the Foundations course. The content of the workshop is responsive to the students needs but will generally cover creating a bezel, soldering it onto a ring or pendant back plate; creating a decorative bail and soldering it onto the backplate of a pendant; setting stones into the bezel and finishing the piece with polishing, applying patina or other finishing techniques.
These workshops are run in small group format so that participants receive individual attention. If the workshop is fully booked please add your name to the waiting list by emailing manresadesign@gmail.com and I will schedule an additional session.
Pre-requisite: Foundations of Jewellery Making
Maximum of 4 participants in each course.
Safety: Please wear closed in shoes and be able to tie back long hair. Given the nature of the tools used in this workshop it is not open to children.
