Future Australian Designs and Services
Description
Future Australian Designs and Services is a public discussion that empowers Australian designers to imagine how design might meet future Australian product and service needs. It invites both designers and the public to explore how emerging technologies, particularly AI, can expand the way we design the services, systems, products and experiences that define everyday Australian life.
Event series
This panel discussion is part of the Melbourne Design Week 2026 event, Future Services Studio: Imagining the Next Chapter of Australian Design Products and Services. There are three other workshops at the same location, in this event series:
Workshop 1, 10am to 12pm: GenAI for design exploration and speculation (Midjourney)
Workshop 2, 1pm to 3pm: GenAI for imagination and prototyping (Claude)
Workshop 3, 3.30pm to 5.30pm: GenAI in Design workflow masterclass (ComfyUI)
