ABOUT G & THE CHERMSIDE THREE

Following their recent Jazz in Meanjin release, Graeme Norris and the Chermside Three return to JMI Live on March 14 2024. The performance will showcase compositions by Cedar Walton, Cole Porter, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and some of Graeme’s original music.

Graeme will share the stage with expert fellow contributors Eden Armstrong, Elliott Parker and Chris Evans. Having returned to Brisbane after a decade residing in New York, Graeme Norris now teaches saxophone and improvisation at JMI. “More Please”, recorded in New York and released on Gut String Records, was reviewed by Eric Meyers in the Australian as “modern jazz, beautifully played”.
