Event description

Join horticulturist Peter Wilson and learn how to redesign your garden to adapt to the impacts of a changing climate. Understand water-wise gardening techniques, plant selection and how to support local native wildlife.

Long range climate forecasts predict greater extremes of weather and rising temperatures which will prove challenging for many gardens and gardeners. Gardens are not only great to enjoy but have other benefits such as increasing property values and reducing energy consumption but how can we continue to enjoy our plants if the climate changes so much.

In this presentation we will be exploring what those changes may be and how we can modify our gardening habits to meet these challenges. Come along and find out some of the strategies we can use to help us to be able to enjoy our gardens without breaking the bank.
