Five emerging bands from Greater Manchester and Rossendale come together for a special free-entry showcase as part of the Gather@ Trail — a series of performances hosted across a variety of venues throughout Rossendale.
Featuring Marie Franc, Concrete Club, Punch-In, Tuareg and Dead Tenant, this eclectic line-up showcases the breadth of grassroots music currently emerging from the North West.
Manchester five-piece Marie Franc blend sultry pop vocals with intricate instrumentation that moves between folk, jazz, rock and country. Their immersive sound combines emotionally raw songwriting with expansive, genre-defying arrangements, drawing comparisons to Sinéad O’Connor and Dolores O’Riordan.
Concrete Club are a Manchester-based indie rock band who have rapidly built a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging live acts. Known for their energetic, in-your-face performances, the band have already completed a UK tour, sold out headline shows, and performed at iconic venues including Manchester’s Albert Hall.
Punch-In are an alt-rock four-piece from Warrington, blending new wave, post-punk and indie rock into catchy yet introspective songs that balance emotional honesty with sharp humour and a sense of the absurd.
Rossendale’s Dead Tenant channel post-punk, pop and occasional prog influences into fiercely independent songs of love, hate, hope and despair - kicking against inequality and ignorance with raw intensity. Entirely self-produced and self-promoted, the band operate from a former pub turned rehearsal and recording space.
Tuareg bring a punky garage-rock energy to the line-up, featuring Carrie Lawson and Selina Clements Woolnough alongside acclaimed musician Aziz Ibrahim (The Stone Roses, Simply Red, Steven Wilson). Combining DIY spirit with a feminist ethos, the band deliver high-energy performances packed with attitude and infectious hooks.

Lineup

Marie Franc
Marie Franc is a five-piece band from Manchester, blending sultry pop vocals with intricate, genre-blurring instrumentation. Drawing from folk, jazz, rock, and country, their sound is rich, immersive, and deeply evocative. Their lyrics explore love, history, nature, folklore, and sexuality, crafting songs that are as thought-provoking as they are emotionally raw. Critics and listeners alike have been captivated by their arresting vocal presence, an intoxicating blend of delicate beauty and raw intensity, drawing comparisons to Sinéad O’Connor and Dolores O’Riordan. There’s an ache to the delivery, a depth that lingers, while the band surrounds it with spacious, soulful instrumentation reminiscent of Foxygen, BADBADNOTGOOD, and Mac DeMarco. Their music seamlessly moves between intimate folk storytelling and expansive, genre-defying soundscapes. Praised for their intricate yet understated arrangements, Marie Franc’s sound is at once hypnotic and fire-lit, balancing breezy pop hooks with brooding, country-folk mystery. Their compositions weave between moments of stark, ‘70s-style elegance and lush, jazz-infused warmth, creating a tapestry of emotion and atmosphere. With their spellbinding sound and poetic lyricism, Marie Franc invites listeners into a world both haunting and warm, carving out a space entirely their own.

Concrete Club
Concrete Club are a Manchester-based indie rock band formed at the end of 2022. In a remarkably short time, they have established themselves as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging live acts, completing a UK tour, headlining multiple raucous sold-out shows, and performing at iconic venues including Manchester’s Albert Hall. Their reputation has been built on an energetic, in-your-face live sound that leaves a lasting impression. Sonically, Concrete Club resist easy categorisation. Drawing inspiration from across the musical spectrum, the band push and pull at the boundaries of indie rock and pop, forging a sound that feels both familiar and forward-looking. While consciously moving away from the dominant Manchester indie blueprint of recent years, they still nod respectfully to their influences. Their songwriting reimagines everyday mundanity, explores the pursuit of a better world, and captures the joy and chaos of chasing a dream with nothing to lose. Since their formation, Concrete Club’s growth has been rapid and organic. Through consistent touring, standout live performances, and a steadily expanding catalogue of releases, the band have built a dedicated and growing fanbase across the UK. Each release and show has marked a clear step forward, sharpening both their sound and their identity while increasing demand on the live circuit. Looking ahead to 2026, Concrete Club are focused on scaling up every aspect of the project. With new music in development, an ambitious release schedule planned, and extensive UK live activity on the horizon, the band are entering their next phase with confidence and intent. Having already proven their ability to connect on stage and on record, Concrete Club are positioning themselves for their biggest year yet.

Punch-In
Punch-in are an alt-rock four-piece from Warrington, formed by lifelong friends who found their way back to music after years apart. Blending elements of new wave, post-punk and indie rock, Punch-in create catchy yet introspective songs. They reflect on and poke fun at their own trivial places in a messy modern world, with a sprinkling of social commentary from that same blinkered perspective. The band's instinct for melody, emotional honesty and a sense of the absurd is shaped by a shared love of artists like Talking Heads, The Cure, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, Grandaddy, Reuben, XTC and Eels. Punch-in’s debut single, ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’, was released on 30 January 2026. It preceded a sold-out single launch party and debut live show at Warrington venue Peggy McCools. Their sophomore single, ‘This Is Not an Intervention’, was released on Friday 20 March 2026. The band has already received backing from BBC Introducing’s Dave Monks - “That’s definitely getting played again - love that.” - and God Is In The TV who named ‘This Is Not an Intervention' as one of their tracks of the week.

Tuareg
Tuareg bring a punky garage-rock energy to the line-up, featuring Carrie Lawson and Selina Clements Woolnough alongside acclaimed musician Aziz Ibrahim (The Stone Roses, Simply Red, Steven Wilson). Combining DIY spirit with a feminist ethos, the band deliver high-energy performances packed with attitude and infectious hooks.

Dead Tenant
DEAD TENANT ARE A 3-PIECE FORMED IN ROSSENDALE, LANCASHIRE IN 2021. FINDING THEMSEVES STARING INTO THE MAELSTROM OF 21st CENTURY BRITAIN, THEIR RESPONSE WAS TO CREATE SONGS OF LOVE & HATE, HOPE & DESPAIR; FIERCELY KICKING AGAINST INEQUALITY & IGNORANCE. Equal parts post-punk and pop with occasional touches of (say it quietly) prog, the band are proudly independent - entirely self-produced, self-promoted and currently hunkered down in the former pub that serves as both rehearsal space and guerilla recording studio.
