Event description

Come as you are. Bring a friend, neighbour or family member.

Gathering Ground is a series of three gentle, spacious conversations for anyone curious about how we live, learn and care — together.

Imagine sitting in a room with others from your community, cuppa in hand, swapping thoughts and stories about the world we’re all trying to make sense of. You don’t need to be an expert — just someone willing to listen, reflect and share.

There’s no pressure to perform, debate or fix anything. Just simple, meaningful conversation that flows — like the chats you wish you had more often, but rarely do.

This is not a workshop. It’s not about taking notes or ticking boxes. It’s about slowing down and making space for connection — a meadow of conversation where fresh insights and relationships can quietly take root.

When & Where

  1. 10:00am – 12:00pm, Wednesday 2nd July 2025

  2. 10:00am – 12:00pm, Wednesday 9th July 2025

  3. 10:00am – 12:00pm, Wednesday 23rd July 2025

Come to one, or all three — each conversation builds on the last, but every session stands on its own. Everyone is welcome.

What’s a Warm Data Lab?

Think of it like the best after-dinner conversation you’ve ever had — with people you didn’t know but somehow deeply connected with.

We’ll gather in small, fluid groups to explore a shared question from many perspectives — health, family, ecology, culture, economy and more.

“An antidote to social media.”

“a rare space where people really hear each other”

What to Bring

  • Yourself, just as you are — curious, tired, hopeful, overwhelmed… all of you is welcome.

  • A water bottle or keep-cup (we’ll have a few spares on hand).

  • A sense of curiosity and kindness.

Gift from the Heart

The cost to attend is $5 per session, which helps cover tea, coffee, and light refreshments.

We also warmly invite you to bring a plate of food to share — something simple you enjoy. Sharing food is an optional invitation for those who feel called and who are able.

If the $5 is a barrier, just let us know — no one will be turned away. Your presence is the most important thing.
