Description

Introduction to Reflexology – Geelong

21–22 November | Geelong Vines Road Community Centre

Discover the fascinating world of reflexology with ASRR (Australian School of Reflexology and Relaxation) in this two-day Introduction to Reflexology course.

Whether you are completely new to reflexology, interested in natural therapies or already working in the health and wellbeing industry, this course provides an excellent opportunity to develop new knowledge and practical skills.

Learn with an experienced tutor

The course will be led by Yve Frankcombe, a leading Australian reflexology tutor, who brings valuable knowledge, experience and practical understanding to the classroom.

One of the special features of this course is the very small class size, with a maximum of just four students. This allows for individual attention, personalised guidance and plenty of opportunity to practise techniques while receiving feedback from your tutor.

You won't be lost in a large classroom. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, work at your own pace and develop confidence in your practical skills.

What will you learn?

During the two days, you will be introduced to the principles and practice of reflexology, including:

  • What reflexology is and how it is traditionally used.

  • The history and development of reflexology.

  • Understanding reflex areas and their relationship to different parts of the body.

  • Introduction to foot anatomy and the structure of the feet.

  • Learning the main reflex areas on the feet.

  • Correct positioning and comfortable working techniques.

  • Thumb and finger walking techniques.

  • How to apply appropriate pressure.

  • Developing a simple reflexology routine.

  • Understanding client comfort, hygiene and professional practice.

  • Contraindications and when reflexology may not be appropriate.

Practical learning

Reflexology is a hands-on therapy, so practical experience is an important part of the course.

You will have the opportunity to practise techniques, work with foot reflex areas and develop a basic treatment routine under Yve's guidance.

The small class environment means you can receive individual feedback and build confidence as you progress.

What is included?

Your course investment includes:

  • Comprehensive course manual for background reading and future reference.

  • Printed handouts with reflexology images and treatment routines.

  • Two days of face-to-face tuition.

  • Practical demonstrations and supervised learning.

  • Individual tutor guidance.

  • Certificate of attendance on completion.

Who is this course suitable for?

This course is ideal for:

  • Beginners wanting to explore reflexology.

  • People interested in complementary therapies.

  • Massage and beauty therapists wanting to expand their skills.

  • Health and wellbeing practitioners.

  • Anyone interested in learning a practical relaxation therapy.

  • Those considering further study towards a professional reflexology qualification.

There are no previous reflexology qualifications required.

A wonderful opportunity to learn in a small group

With only four places available, this is a particularly valuable opportunity to learn directly from an experienced Australian reflexology educator in a supportive and welcoming environment.

You will leave with a foundation in reflexology, practical techniques to continue practising and a greater understanding of this fascinating complementary therapy.
