Gardens For Wildlife Nature Journaling Workshop
Event description
Gardens for Wildlife members are warmly invited to join a nature journaling workshop with botanical artist Dr Tanya Scharaschkin.
Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 | 8:45am - 12pm | Maximum 24 people
Join the Tasmanian Land Conservancy for an exclusive Gardens for Wildlife members nature journaling workshop with Dr Tanya Scharaschkin (botanist, artist and teacher), hosted at Plants of Tasmania Nursery, at Ridgeway, Hobart.
As we learn the mindful act of nature journaling, the Plants of Tasmania nursery, with it's numerous native plants to draw inspiration from, is a great place to explore the techniques and process of this artform, then take home learnings to use in our own gardens.
This workshop is suited to all experience levels. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable nursery owner, Rae Young, will be guiding us to her favourite plants in the nursery, pointing out threatened species, unique forms and new flowerings.
The 3-hour outdoor session includes a brief introduction to nature journaling, beginner lessons in drawing, an exploration of the nature journaling prompts, with extra materials and some free time to grab a cuppa and admire the huge selection of native flora.
