    Event description

How do you view the aging process? Is it tinged with anxiety and regret? Perhaps you see it as an adventure, a time to find meaning and a ripening, or is it a little of both? "The Gift of Years," Joan Chittister’s best-selling book, offers the chance to look at this time of maturation with fresh eyes, joy for what has been, and optimism for what is to come.

This fall, Emmaus Spiritualty Center will offer an 8-week book study and discussion group, exploring the gifts of maturity and wisdom, along with opportunities to reflect upon and share experiences of varied paths to nurturing these gifts into full-flowering.

Participants provide their own copy of the book, which can be bought on Amazon here. Study guides and reflection questions are provided to support seekers, as we journey together and share the rich insights of this celebrated spiritual author. You are warmly invited to pull up a chair and enjoy a cup of coffee or cocoa, as we usher in the harvest season together, in peace and thanksgiving, embracing The Gift of Years.

    Presenters

Marie Thome, C.S.D., a spiritual director of Emmaus Spirituality Center.

Elizabeth McLaughlin, M.A.T.S. and third year Spiritual Direction Institute student
