Glenroy with the Pascoe-Hume group of the Australian Breastfeeding Association
Description
Glenroy Community Hub – Meeting Room 3
Join South Eastern Babywearing Group and the Pascoe-Hume Group of the Australian Breastfeeding Association for a free, friendly and informative babywearing session.
Whether you're expecting a baby, new to babywearing, exploring different carriers or looking for help with one you already own, we'd love to see you!
What to expect
We'll begin with an informative and practical group presentation covering:
Babywearing safety: Understanding the T.I.C.K.S. guidelines and how to keep your baby safe and comfortable in a carrier.
Introduction to baby carrier styles: Exploring stretchy and woven wraps, ring slings, meh dais and buckle carriers, including their features and suitability for different ages and stages.
Following the presentation, there will be time for individual carrier fit-checks and hands-on support.
You can bring your own carrier for help with fitting and adjustments, or explore our extensive demonstration collection to discover different options.
Our sessions are welcoming, inclusive and suitable for expectant parents, parents, grandparents and other caregivers.
About the Australian Breastfeeding Association
The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) provides information, education and support to families throughout Australia.
Local ABA groups offer welcoming opportunities to meet other parents, share experiences and access breastfeeding information and support from trained volunteer breastfeeding counsellors and educators.
You don't need to be breastfeeding or an ABA member to attend.
ABA also operates the free National Breastfeeding Helpline, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Photography
We occasionally take photographs at our sessions to support babywearing education and promote our free community activities. These may be used on our website, social media and in educational or promotional materials.
We always seek permission before taking individual photographs, and a photo consent form may be used.
You're welcome to decline photography or request that your baby's or child's face is not shown. Your choice will always be respected and will not affect the support you receive.
