Welcome to Glitter Gel Pen Book Club — a Sydney meet-up for like-minded girlies who want to romanticise their lives, read sugary novels, and yap about them over a glass (or two) of natty wine. We’re here for the “frivolous” feel-good fiction and a space to unapologetically enjoy and discuss books beyond 19th-century literary classics.

So if you’re in your twenties or thirties, craving a bit of escapism and love a rom-com with your rosé in an aesthetic setting, welcome to your new favourite cal invite.

Join us at one of Sydney’s most stylish wine bars. This special mid-week meet-up is your chance to escape the chaos, sip on delicious natural wine, and chat about all things books, pop culture, and life with like-minded women.

When: Wednesday, 8th October, 6 pm

What: A glass of natural wine over a delicious, bespoke two-course menu.
Where: Situated on Crown St, Jane is a beautiful all-Australian restaurant & wine bar in Surry Hills.

• A delicious two-course menu designed especially for us by the Jane, Surry Hills team for grazing and sharing as you sip, chat, and unwind, plus a glass of natural wine (or a non-alcoholic alternative) on arrival.
  • Two hours of intimate, feel-good conversation with like-minded girlies over beautiful food and wine.
  • A little extra sparkle: GGP accessories to scribble your hot takes, special goodie bags and ongoing access to our Glitter Gel Pen community, so the conversation doesn’t end when the night does.

✨ To keep our meet-ups intimate (while ensuring as many of you as possible can join!), we’ll be hosting two book club nights in October.

We’ll be discussing the same book at both meet-ups, and both nights will be equally joyful, just hosted at different venues, with slightly different ticket prices based on the space and menu. You’re welcome to book whichever one suits you best!

A note on pricing: Our ticket prices vary by venue, but making our events accessible (and great value) is always the goal. We partner with local venues we love, ensuring each ticket supports their business while covering good food, natural wine, and a couple of wholesome hours of connection and escapism, without breaking the bank. Because let’s be honest: being a girl who loves to eat out, hoard books and have a social life in Sydney isn’t exactly cheap. We’re here for community, not profit.
