SHE HIKES PERTH - GOBBY ROAD HIKE

  • Saturday 19th of September

  • Meet 7:50am

  • Departing 8:00am Sharp!

  • Keysbrook/Serpentine area

  • Distance: 12km

  • Elevation: 264m

  • Difficulty: Moderate

This is rated moderate due to the terrain and distance. There is a significant water crossing which can we expected at knee height, so please come prepared to get a wee bit wet.

MEETING POINT

We will all meet at Keysbrook Town Hall at 7:50am, ready to depart at 8:00am.

There is very limited parking at the trail head, so please do not go directly to the trail head. The exact hike location/address will be provided at Keysbrook Town Hall on the morning, then we will go there all together.

WATER CROSSING

we strongly recommend wearing shorts or clothing you're happy to get wet in. Depending on water levels on the day, it may go above knee high. Please only register if you're comfortable with this.

FITNESS/EXPERIENCE

You should be comfortable walking approx. 12km over uneven bush terrain and be confident in participating in the water crossing. Please make an assessment of your fitness ability before attending. All participants join She Hikes Perth activities at their own risk.

CARPOOLING

Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to the limited parking at Gobby Road. Please use the carpool group chat to find passengers or drivers.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Minimum 2L of water

  • Snacks/food

  • Hiking shoes/boots

  • Shorts and quick drying clothes recommended

  • Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, etc.)

  • Rain jacket if required

  • Spare socks and shoes and possibly a change of clothes for the drive home
