The 2 topics here below will be presented on October 9:
The legal responsibilities of Boards:
In today’s highly changing environment, some of the biggest changes are the increasing legal
expectations on boards and committees. This workshop will explore what are the legal
obligations of being on a board? What do you need to know and where is the limit of legal
responsibility as a board member? Discover some of the new obligations that have arisen
and some just around the corner...
Health and safety and the Board’s role:
Health and safety should be part of everything we do in our organisations and places of
work. With the introduction of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, boards are now
required to be proactive in setting the culture and practices that will protect their
people. This workshop will explore the board’s role in creating the culture, developing the
policies, assessing the risks and monitoring the health and safety of their staff, volunteers
and clients.
