Welcome to the 2026 GPSN NSW/ACT First Steps, an exciting event designed to introduce medical students to the world of General Practice.

Whether you're already considering a career in general practice or simply curious about the breadth of opportunities available, this event offers a unique chance to hear directly from experienced GPs working across a range of clinical settings and career pathways. Our speakers will share insights into their journeys, day-to-day practice, and the diverse and rewarding nature of a career in primary care.

Following the speaker sessions, attendees will participate in hands-on clinical skills stations, providing an opportunity to develop practical skills, meet fellow medical students, and engage with GPs in a more interactive setting.

This event is open to all NSW and ACT medical students, regardless of year level. Come along to learn, connect, and take your first steps towards understanding the possibilities of a career in General Practice.
