Graeme Norris Quartet
Event description
The Graeme Norris Quartet will return to JMI Live on July 17 2025. The performance will showcase compositions by Cole Porter, Billy Strayhorn, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Thelonious Monk. Graeme will share the stage with expert fellow contributors Eden Armstrong, Elliott Parker and Chris Evans.
Having returned to Brisbane after a decade residing in New York, Graeme Norris now teaches saxophone and improvisation at JMI. “More Please”, recorded in New York and released on Gut String Records, was reviewed by Eric Meyers in the Australian as “modern jazz, beautifully played”.
