Event description

This event is the second in our four-part series for 2025 on writing applications for research funding. The series is designed to build confidence and share practical tips useful in grant writing, irrespective of funder.

The goal in writing a Fellowship application and a research project application is in one sense the same: both aim to secure financial and other support. But Fellowships and project grant applications are different, with their own focuses and requirements. In this event, a panel of grant-writing experts from across UTS will delve into how to tell a compelling a story about your journey, your vision, and in what ways the Fellowship will propel you.

Fellowships don’t align with all career aspirations, but if they fit with yours or you think they might, join us for a scheme-agnostic discussion on crafting an application.

Who should attend:

  • ECRs
  • Research support professionals
  • Anyone interested in writing fellowship applications.

Why attend?

Gain valuable insights from experienced grant writers, network with peers, and enhance your grant writing skills for fellowships.
