Tairāwhiti Environment Centre in partnership with MyImprint, Exchange Cafe and The Chamber of Commerce, presents Green Drinks.

A monthly networking event where we discuss sustainability topics.

Our mild climate and short commute distances means we are a perfect town for cycling to work or school.

But our lack of safe biking infrastructure is consistently raised as a concern from our community.

So, this month we are hearing from projects who are actively promoting safe cycling options.

• First, we will hear from Lyall Evans of Tapuwae Tairāwhiti Trails and Tyler Kirk from Gisborne District Council, who will talk about the Taruheru River Pathway - the proposed cycling, walking and wheeling path that will follow the Taruheru River.

• Then, Kauri Forno from Wednesday Challenge will talk about their project, which promotes walking and biking to school and work on Wednesdays.

Entry is free and includes snacks.
