GreenHomeNYC Tour of FABSCRAP
Event description
Come join GreenHomeNYC in learning more about pre-consumer textile recycling at FABSCRAP.
FABSCRAP is rethinking textile waste by picking up unwanted fabric from businesses and working with local and creative communities to reuse these materials.
Please join us for a warehouse tour at FABSCRAP’s Brooklyn Warehouse in the Brooklyn Army Terminal (BAT). During our warehouse tour, the FABSCRAP team will talk through their operations and service model, and dive a little deeper into the issue of textile waste as a whole. The team will speak for about 45 minutes with some time for Q&A!Â
The event fee is $10 for general admissions and $5 for student admissions. Please note we have a limit of 25 people, so you must secure a ticket in order to attend. Thank you!
Event Details: We shall meet in front of the FABSCRAP facility at 4:45p. Please arrive before 5:15p at the latest. (From the main entrance, you need to walk through the courtyard to the other end and take the elevator on the right to the 5th floor.) See step-by-step directions here.
