Grow Gourmet Mushrooms at Home

Join DuraFungi for an engaging and practical introduction to sustainably growing mushrooms at home.

In this workshop you’ll learn how mushrooms grow, the fundamentals of home cultivation, and how you can produce delicious varieties such as oyster mushrooms, shiitake, and lion’s mane right in your own kitchen or garden using household waste and other common materials.

Dave from DuraFungi will share insights from running a local mushroom farm in South Australia and demonstrate simple methods that anyone can use to start growing their own mushrooms. The workshop also includes a hands-on demonstration using mushroom spawn so participants can see part of the growing process up close.

This session is perfect for beginners, food lovers, gardeners, and anyone interested in sustainable local food.
