Join us for morning tea and a lemon squeeze to celebrate the opening of Uncle Noel Blair’s new solo show, 'Guess Who's Coming to the Corroboree: Late Night Sketches by Uncle Noel Blair
Step into Uncle Noel’s recreated bedroom and have a “Dorrie” at his personal belongings. Explore hundreds of late-night sketches filled with humor, memories, political commentary, and Black love. This intimate exhibition, curated by Libby Harward, offers a fun and personal look into Uncle Noel’s life and his nightly thoughts. Don’t miss this special event!
Uncle Noel Blair is a Jinibara elder and Traditional Owner born in 1947 near Cherbourg. Raised under the Aboriginal Protection Act, he learned art from elders and has been drawing ever since. Noel’s art, deeply rooted in his culture, is now shared with his grandchildren, continuing his artistic legacy. Uncle Noel is the elder in residence at Munimba-ja Arts Centre
