About Gut Oggau
Gut Oggau, led by husband-and-wife team Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe-Eselbock, have reached cult-like status since revitalising a 17th-century vineyard near Lake Neusiedel, Austria.
Every year, Gut Oggau create a series of living wines with personality, drinkability, and cult-like appeal. Their approach emphasises blending grapes from various parcels on their 13-hectare estate - dedicated to varieties deeply rooted in Austria's viticultural heritage - to achieve complexity, depth, and character.
The estate's limestone-rich slate soils in Burgenland are dedicated to Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Weissburgunder, Gewürztraminer, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and Roesler.
Instantly recognisable with their charming illustrated portraits on each cuvée, these wines are emblematic of the natural wine movement's creativity, authenticity and radical transparency.
