Ha ki roto Ha ki waho - Take a breath
Description
Join a walk with moments of being conscious of breathing out in nature 'Ha ki roto - Ha ki waho' - breathing, connecting/reconnecting with the area that we are in and doing some 'in the moment' art.
Kia ora, I'm Donna and I am Haere Mai Ki Waho Nature Education. I'm passionate about 'connecting and reconnecting tamariki and adults to the uniqueness of Aotearoa.
Over the last 10 years I have ran free nature groups for tamariki and their whānau and over the last few years have worked with community and education groups connecting and reconnecting to the taiao and also 'Taking a breath' and facilitating 'in the moment interactions with nature wherever we are. 'Taking a breath' has taken me to present in England and Australia.
The aspiration is for participants is to spend time in the taiao with a small group and experience a session that enables participants to take a moment to slow down and use their senses to smell, feel, touch and hear the taiao.
We will practice breathing, embrace ephemeral art and show Manaaki by gathering rubbish.
Please note that all participants are responsible for themselves.
