It's halfway to Halloween and Portal-Prov! is stepping through the HOCUS POCUS portal to celebrate with special guest Larry Bagby!
Larry Bagby (HOCUS POCUS, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) will appear at Otherworld Theatre on Sunday, May 15, 2022, participating in several of Otherworld’s signature programs.
Bagby, who played the teenage bully "Ice" in HOCUS POCUS, will first step through the Portal as he participates in Otherworld’s weekly sci-fi and fantasy themed improv show, PORTAL-PROV!, at 7 p.m. Featuring games, audience participation, and nerdy fun, PORTAL-PROV!, which will be HOCUS POCUS themed for this event, is presented every Sunday evening at Otherworld and has played to sold-out shows since its March 13 premiere. This show will begin with a special musical set by Bagby, who is also an accomplished musician and country music singer.
At 8:30 p.m. Bagby will join licensed clinical social worker Eric Koll of Keystone Mental Health and licensed professional counselor Natalie Jeung of Skylight Counseling Center for a live taping of the THE NERD THERAPY PODCAST, a new monthly talk show that discusses different mental health-related themes in various nerd and geek franchises. This episode will focus on bullying in the geek and nerd communities, and ways that fans can prevent harmful behavior. The conversation will highlight Bagby's involvement in anti-bulling campaigns.
