Halo-Halo Watercolour Workshop
Event description
Spoon up some art skills! Join Magenta House and Gizelle Faye Creative Studio on Saturday 3 May for an interactive workshop on how to make, paint and eat Halo-Halo! A popular summertime Filipino dessert, halo-halo translates to ‘mix-mix’ in Tagalog and is a textural and hyper-coloured treat that often combines vegan/dairy milks, shaved ice, seasonal fruits, sweet beans, jellies, toasted rice puffs, ice cream, and more.
In this interactive class, you’ll learn how to paint this nostalgic dessert with Gizelle using vibrant watercolours. You’ll also receive sample swatches and a watercolour kit to keep practicing at home. This class is open to beginners and intermediate students.
Elevate your experience by building your own consumable halo-halo with toppings from Magenta House’s Halo-Halo station! This fun class offers you a chance to connect with fellow participants and gain insights into Filipino culture through food, creativity and chikahan (conversations).
