This is a very rare chance for Sunshine Coast community to have Alice visiting your area to share her knowledge and skills.

Designed for beginners who want to play harmonium and chant mantras for meditation and enjoyment.


A fun way to learn or brush-up on basic music theory, simple chords, rhythms, and sweet melodies. Gain skills to develop a personal practice or to lead your own kirtan circles, moving between gentle mantra meditation and the fast-paced ecstasy of the bhav. Let’s play and chant!

Teacher Alice Miyagawa is a Harmonium Specialist and has been teaching professionally for over two decades. In these roles, she is in her genius zone with small groups of learners who are motivated and goal oriented.
 Since 2011, she has been facilitating chant-related events in Japan and Australia: hosting kirtan events, leading vocal workshops and kirtan circles, and teaching harmonium for lovers of the mantra medicine. Her Japanese surname means Shrine River, leading you through sound and silence with a sacred flow. She is currently based in the rainforest region of the Northern Rivers, New South Wales.
