YOUR TEACHER : ALICE MIYAGAWA

Alice’s love of Indian music and devotional chanting was ignited on her first trip to India in 1982.

.

After attending many Indian music concerts throughout her life, Alice began practical study of Dhrupad and Sargam singing in her early thirties when living in Japan, and has continued studying  back in Australia. In 2013 she began teaching Nada Yoga and Sargam Vocal Meditation in Kyoto before relocating to Byron Bay.

.

Alice has been running devotional chanting and sacred music events in Japan and Australia since 2010; as a professional teacher for over 20 years she focuses on private lessons, small group workshops, and singing events, and specialises in harmonium and vocal tuition and concerts. She is  also a passionate musician and imports quality harmoniums from India.
