Join us at this free event to get your hands dirty!
Want to learn more about managing revegetation areas? We’re collaborating with our friends at the Hart Field Site to give some love and attention to Hart’s revegetation area. The planting day will be held on June 10 from 10am with everything from grasses and small/understory species to large trees being added to the site. We have lots of new plants going in – volunteers are welcome! Whether you can volunteer or not, we’ll be running a free, 45-minute information session with a guided tour of the revegetation area, and lots of great tips and info about planning, establishing and maintaining a reveg area of your own. Our ecologists will be on hand to share their knowledge and answer your questions.

Join us from 10am at the Hart Field Day site to help plant a bunch of new native vegetation to spruik up the existing on-site veg.
11am
Our ecologists are running an interactive 45-minute session to learn about native plant ID and on-farm revegetation. We'll be covering:
How to identify which species are appropriate for your site
Planting techniques to maximise survival
Identifying common native grasses to genera level
Benefits of plant species we are planting at Hart
Choosing a suite of plants that provide year-round resources to insects and birds
Principals of designing a windbreak

Stay for as long as you like, we'll be here until all the plants are in the ground.
