Hat Fitz and Cara - Live Take 2!

So incredibly stoked to be able to announce one of my favourite acts are coming to play here for us at Resonator Music!! I've followed Hatz for decades, and always loved his rough Aussie blues, but when he joined forces with the amazing Cara Robinson some years ago a whole new level of cool was born - these two together are truly one of the great live acts. Our intimate little room is such a great way to get up close and personal with these incredible musicians, catch them in early March!

High-energy duo Hat Fitz and Cara are among Australia’s most talented roots music artists. Combining their cultural backgrounds (AUS/IRE), this dynamic power force showcases Fitzy’s weathered vocals and soaring blues-soaked guitar  with Cara’s pounding drums and soulful voice to create, what they call, Convict Blues – presenting them at the peak of their creative power.

Latest Album: LIVE at The Couch Sessions’ – released May 2025. Reviewed by Rhythms Magazine here “At the top of their game”. Aside from the hill country injection, Fitz and Robinson cover Shirley Caeser’s ‘I Feel Good’, which really highlights the range of Robinson’s voice; and the Bonnie Raitt version of Steve Winwood’s ‘Can’t Find My Way Home’, which employs again subtle use of the flute and Fitz’s acoustic guitar mastery. And in the originals, the message that pulsates outward is one of positivity, of kindness, of the need to stand up in a world where values are waning and the idea of just being nice is in seemingly short supply.
