Haumanu for Climate Action (Part 1): Online introduction

This 75-minute online session is Part 1 of a two-part Haumanu journey designed to support how we show up for climate collaboration ahead of the Future Search Wānanga. Together, we’ll explore the difference between working from connection and disconnection, and how that shapes trust, alignment and collective impact across the climate ecosystem.

You’ll be introduced to:

• Why the state we seed climate action from matters

• Accessible nervous system insights (in everyday language)

• Simple grounding practices you can use in your daily life and mahi

• A shared language we’ll build on in Part 2 and at the Future Search wānanga

This session is open to registered participants of the Future Search wānanga only. No prior knowledge or preparation is needed.

Part 1 Session options

The same session format will be offered at two different times. When you register, please choose ONE of the two session options to attend.

• Session A: 9 April, 4.30 - 5.45pm

• Session B: 10 April, 12.00 - 1.15pm

Sessions will be held online via Zoom.

Continue the journey (part 2)

Part 1 (online introduction) is designed to be followed by Part 2: Haumanu in te taiao - a deeper, place-based experience to help you arrive at the wānanga feeling more grounded, connected and resourced.

Part 2 is offered in two formats:

• In-person (Parnell Rose Gardens): A guided experience in te taiao, including a hīkoi from rākau to moana

• Virtual (from your own outdoor space): Join from a place in nature that’s meaningful to you

You’re welcome to attend one or both Part 2 sessions. We recommend attending at least one.
