Haumanu for Climate Action (Part 2): In Te Taiao (Virtual)

This online experience is Part 2 of the Haumanu journey, designed to support how we show up for climate collaboration ahead of the Future Search Wānanga.

Building on the foundations introduced in the Part 1 online session, this experience invites you into a deeper, place-based exploration in te taiao (the natural world) from wherever you are. Together, we’ll explore what it means to work from connection rather than disconnection and how the state we bring to our climate mahi shapes trust, alignment and collective impact.

This time is designed to support you to arrive at the wānanga feeling more grounded, more connected and more resourced for collaboration.

What to expect:

• Time in your own chosen te taiao space (e.g. a park, garden, beach or other place in nature)

• Guided practices to connect with whenua, rākau and the wider living world around you

• Accessible grounding and nervous system practices

• Small-group whakawhanaungatanga (via breakout spaces)

• Exploration of connection and disconnection in climate work

• Practical tools you can bring back into your life and mahi

You’re encouraged to join from a place where you can be outdoors and move gently if possible. You may choose to join by video, audio or a mix of both depending on what works best in your environment.

• In-person: At the Parnell Rose Gardens

• Virtual (this session): Join from your own outdoor space

You are welcome to attend one or both Part 2 sessions.

This session is Part 2 of the Haumanu journey.

Part 1 is a 75-minute online introduction that explores connection, nervous system awareness and the foundations of this approach to climate action.
