Have Your Say: Carer Supports - Wed 7 May 10.00am
Event description
Join ACD in a 90-minute online consultation for families of children with disability about Victorian state-based carer supports.
The Victorian Government is refreshing the Victorian Carer Strategy, and ACD would like to hear from families raising children with disability about what support helps them in their caring role.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Financial security
- Connecting with peer support
- Respite and support to help carers
The conversation will focus on practical solutions and will look at current Victorian state-based supports that work well.
This is an opportunity to have your say and share your reflections on what is working and ideas for change. Your feedback will be deidentified and passed on to the Victorian Government.
Note: This conversation will focus on areas that are the responsibility of the Victorian Government. Australian Government initiatives such as the NDIS, Carer Gateway, and Carer Allowance and Payment will not be part of this conversation.
