Have your say: Child care and kindergarten - Tue 12 Aug 7.30pm
Event description
Join ACD in a 90-minute online consultation for families of children with disability about the inclusion of children with disability in childcare and kindergarten.
Over the next few years there will be big changes in childcare and kindergarten:
The Australian Government is providing three free days of childcare from 2026.
In Victoria, 30 hours of free 4-year-old kindergarten starts in some local government areas in 2026, rolling out to across Victoria by 2030.
We want to make sure the voices of families raising children with disability are heard as part of these changes.
Topics to be discussed include:
Educators and teachers working in partnership with families
Funding to support inclusion
Extra support and reasonable adjustments in the classroom
The conversation will focus on practical solutions and will look at current supports that work well.
This is an opportunity to have your say and share your reflections on what is working and ideas for change. Your feedback will be deidentified and shared with government decision makers
