I just wanted to say a huge “thank you”.
You and Em are a formidable team, nurturing our body and soul, making for an unforgettable retreat experience. I have reflected at length on what a special time it was.
Life can become very full, very quickly, without anything necessarily being wrong. We work, make plans, look after responsibilities, stay connected, keep moving forward and somehow find ourselves with very little space to simply check in with ourselves.
The Power Within is a one-day urban retreat designed to create that space.
Guided by Mark Moon and Em Cruickshank, the day brings together Qi Gong, Yin Yoga, guided self-inquiry and Expansion Breathwork in an experience that moves between reflection, embodied practice, deeper exploration and rest.
There is space to slow down and notice what has been happening beneath the momentum of everyday life. Space to reconnect with your body, your energy and what you need. And space to explore how you want to participate in the life you’re returning to. You don’t need to arrive with something to fix or a big question to answer.
You just need to give yourself the day.
The value of retreat isn’t only what happens while you’re there. It’s what becomes available when you create enough space to experience yourself differently.
Throughout the day, you’ll have opportunities to notice how you meet your thoughts, emotions and experiences, explore different ways of staying connected to yourself, and develop practical ways to support that connection beyond the retreat.
There will be depth, but there will also be spaciousness. Time for practice, time for conversation, time to eat and time to simply be.
The retreat is the space to practise. Life is where it becomes meaningful.
The one-day urban retreat is part of The Power Within, a series of retreat experiences created by Mark and Em and offered in different formats throughout the year.
For some, one day is exactly what’s needed. For others, it becomes an introduction to the deeper experience and spaciousness of our multi-day retreats.
Either way, the intention is the same: to create experiences that help you feel more connected to yourself, more available for your life and better able to meet what life asks of you.
The Power Within is for people who live full lives and recognise the value of occasionally stepping outside their usual rhythm.
You might be feeling disconnected from yourself, moving through a period of change, questioning what you want next, or simply wanting to feel more present and engaged with your life. No previous experience with breathwork, yoga, meditation or Qi Gong is required.
Across the day, Mark and Em will guide you through a carefully paced experience that includes:
Grounding Qi Gong to bring awareness into the body and begin the day with presence
Restorative Yin Yoga to slow down, soften and create space
Guided self-inquiry exploring your experience, perspectives and what matters to you
A nourishing lunch with time to rest and connect
An immersive Expansion Breathwork journey exploring breath, body and your internal experience
Reflection and integration to consider what you want to carry back into everyday life
You and Em are a formidable team, nurturing our body and soul, making for an unforgettable retreat experience. I have reflected at length on what a special time it was.
I just attended a retreat in Sydney facilitated by Mark and it was transformative. He has a calm and open style which enables you to get the very best from his breathwork.
I feel so lucky to have encountered Mark’s breathwork sessions while recently on a retreat with him. I was dealing with raw trauma and grief and felt like my nervous system was about to collapse.
Every session has taken me deeper into my body to feel, process, release and integrate whatever is needed. As a result my life feels more spacious and I am less reactive.
Mark Moon is an extraordinary breathwork facilitator and one of the most emotionally attuned practitioners I’ve encountered. Mark doesn’t just guide breathwork, he holds space for transformation.
Mark Moon's breathwork sessions are amazing. I worked with him on a number of sessions over 8 weeks having never done Breathwork before and noticed a significant shift in my state of mind.
Arrive well-hydrated, avoid extra stimulants on the day, and eat lightly at least two hours beforehand. Please be free of alcohol and any mind-altering substances.
