Health is wealth! Transform your kitchen into a space of nourishment and sustainability in this immersive 6-hour workshop, designed to empower you with practical skills and holistic knowledge. Join one or both stand-alone sessions to learn how to build a healing, whole-food pantry while embracing sustainable and naturopathic principles.

Morning Session (9am to 12pm) – Foundations & Sustainable Pantry Essentials
Discover the essentials of stocking a nutrient-dense, healing pantry. Learn how to source, store, and use whole foods, herbs, and spices for gut health, immunity, and vitality. Includes a hands-on Herbal Spice Blending activity.

Afternoon Session (1pm to 4pm) – Fermentation & Practical Kitchen Skills
Explore the benefits of fermented foods, gut health, and waste-free cooking. Learn time-saving meal prep strategies and make your own fermented vegetables to take home.

Attend one session if you're pressed for time, or both for a full-day experience!


Youth Offer

This workshop is suitable for teenagers, accompanied by mum, dad or another adult guardian, who has also paid to attend the workshop.

About the Facilitator
Samantha Somers is a naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist, and permaculture educator with a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and a Master of Health Promotion (in progress). She is the founder of SomaNatura, offering virtual consultations, educational resources, and community workshops at Northey Street City Farm. With expertise in food as medicine, herbal therapeutics, and sustainable living, Samantha blends naturopathy and permaculture to teach holistic, practical approaches to nutrition and wellness. She also serves on the Australian Health Promotion Association (AHPA) QLD Branch Committee, advocating for preventative healthcare and community well-being.
