A Message from Refugee Camp In My Neighbourhood:

Whitlam Institute within Western Sydney University, Parramatta Campus Female Orphan School, Building EZ, Corner of James Ruse Drive and Victoria Road, Rydalmere NSW 2116. Whitlam Institute is approximately 5 - 8 minutes walk from the bus stops at Western Sydney University. A map of the campus can be downloaded here.

COVID19 safety: To keep us all safe, please bring a face mask to wear during the tour.

What to bring: Some parts of the tour will be conducted outdoors so please wear warm clothes and bring wet weather gear in the event of rain. This includes a rain coat and/or umbrella. Due to COVID19 we will not be providing rain coats this year.

Public Transport (recommended)

Train to Parramatta Station and then a WSU shuttle bus to the Parramatta South Campus. Shuttle buses leave regularly from the WSU City campus at 169 Macquarie Street, just a short 5-minute walk from the station. Catch the bus on the Smith Street side of the building.

Bus down Victoria Road stopping right outside the campus on Victoria Road, Rydalmere (opposite Rippon Avenue). Bus routes include: M52; 520; 521; 523; 524; 525.

Parking

If you are travelling by car, limited paid parking is available on campus. However please be aware that this parking is very limited and car parks fill fast in the morning.

Please park in a BLUE parking bay and purchase parking permit for approx. $9.

Disability parking is available on campus and is well signposted. Disabled parking bays are available as per the RMS guidelines.
