    Event description

Do you love writing and want a supportive environment in which to write, create and share your words? Come share your heart on the page with us.Ā We'll write fast and slow, we'll create and share our fleeting thoughts, genius writing sparks and we'll pen very very first drafts in a fun and low pressure writing circle.Ā Join us if you'd like to develop your writing muscles, to nurture the flame within that really wants (or needs) to write.

We'll share, we'll laugh, we'll probably cry, and we'll honour each other's words, courage and vulnerability.Ā

This is a safe and inclusive space. All humans aged 18+ are welcome. This class is all about writing for enjoyment and connection. You don't need to be a professional writer to take part, and you don't need to bring any writing with you. In this class, we'll create everything from the blank page. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. As long as you are a proficient English speaker, all levels of writing experience are welcome.

To bring: a pen and paper (or laptop if you prefer) your enthusiasm and an open heart, or heart that's willing to open.

Note: this is not a ā€œwritersā€ group as such - we're not working together on long form pieces. This is a space to share writing as it emerges from our hearts and pens. If youā€™re looking to work with a group to write a novel etc. this may not be the group for you.

About your host: Iā€™m Jo, professional writer with 10 yearsā€™ experience writing within the boxes for other people. Now Iā€™m passionate about writing for me, and writing for fun and heart expression, and helping others do the same. As a professional writer with a love for combining writing with connection, fun, magical states and a little bit of therapy* - I am delighted to be launching this workshop for the Hills community (*note: writing is very healing, but this is not actual therapy!)
