Come and make friends at "Hello Day" in Busselton!! Hello Day is a casual community luncheon for new Busselton residents, particularly those from immigrant backgrounds and local residents who wish to support these new families. Enjoy the chat while you savour the sumptuous lunch sponsored by Rio Tinto. Hello Day aims to build a stronger, more resilient community by fostering connections among people in Busselton and the surrounding areas.

This is catered (lunch is free and provided) event and you must book to attend.

Come with your family and friends, all is welcome!

Busselton International Friendship Inc. (BIFI) was formed in April 2024 by nine energetic committee members. Our mission is to provide friendship and support to those in need.

According to the 2021 Census, 24% of Busselton residents were born overseas and 45% have at least one parent born in another country. These statistics highlight the significant portion of our population with foreign heritage. Many of these residents arrive without family or friends.

By offering a range of opportunities, from shared meals through to resettlement services and general family support, BIFI aims to fosters friendships and creates a surrogate family for these new community members. Communication is key to improving mental health. By engaging with new international families through open dialogue, we can help identify their needs, offer support and direct them to available services.
